We are pleased to announce that Synertics recently attended the Data Center Summit 2026, organized by Portugal DC (Associação Portuguesa de Data Centers). The event took place at Taguspark in Oeiras on March 26, 2026.
We’ve just returned from an impactful day at the Data Center Summit 2026 in Oeiras, where the conversation made one thing clear: Portugal is at a digital crossroads.
With the government recently receiving 29 new grid connection requests, mostly for data centers, the industry is engaged in a vital debate on how to balance this rapid growth with our national decarbonization goals. At the summit, we explored the shift toward "AI-native" infrastructure, discussing how the data centers of 2030 must evolve into "AI Factories" with highly specialized power requirements. For this transition to succeed, we must treat digital infrastructure with the same strategic priority as our road and power networks.
